Robert Schott Prints

Ding Darling bird sanctuary on Sanibel Island is one of my all time favorite birding spots. It is a gathering spot for all the major Florida wading bird species. I have seen hundreds of Roseate Spoonbills together there creating a field of pink.

I discovered this spot in the Everglades years ago. The first time I went there it was spring and the Jacarandas where blooming. What a sight! I sat next to that old stump sketching a couple of dozen Egrets as they waded in the water when for no apparent reason about half of them took flight.

White Egrets are so beautiful. They remain still for so long sometimes you would think they were sculpted in those classic poses. Just when you believe they are indeed a statue they come to live with graceful movements.

Flamingos are an odd and interesting bird to paint. As an artist I have a lot of fun working with Flamingos. I mean just look at them. Flamingos are sort of an iconic Florida bird but they are now found only at the most southern tip of the state.

The title says it all for me. I think the most frequent comment I hear about my work is how peaceful and tranquil my paintings are. Visual images have a powerful effect on our lives. It is personally very gratifying to know that my artwork can help take you to a place of peace and harmony.
The next two prints are great as individual prints but they were created to be displayed as a pair.

Most of the water birds in Florida change colors at different times of the year. This Brown Pelican is painted in its winter plumage.

Scarlet Macaws are considered a symbol of good luck in South America.

This next print is a much larger print than the previous ones. The image measures 15.5 inches high by 22 inches wide. The price for this print is $70.00 with free shipping in the US.
