Robert Schott received a degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida in 1974 graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude, and with Departmental Honors. Since 1980 he has been a full-time Artist.

"I paint mostly natural images of Florida. As for the mangrove painting above, I have wade fished around the mangroves for snook, trout and reds long enough to fall in love with the beautiful wildlife this State has to offer. I try to capture that beauty in my work and give it the elegance, grace and silent dignity that all life deserves."
"I am very grateful to have won many awards over the years for artistic excellence. I have been the poster artist for Mainsail, Art Harvest and the Winter Park art shows. My artwork is also the used as the poster for the Florida Aquarium. My art has been displayed in the Governor's mansion and the State Capitol Building. A piece of mine toured the State as part of a special Everglades Art Exhibit. I even have an artistic creation in the White House collection."
